The objective of the Curriculum and Instruction Department of the School Board of Highlands County is to provide tools necessary to advance the knowledge and practice of teaching and learning. The goal is to address the needs of every student, educator and administrator through support, innovation and research based tools. The Department includes resources in Career and Technical Education, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Media and more.

Health Education Curriculum
The School Board of Highlands County is seeking an effective Health Education curriculum that meets the requirements of Florida Statutes 1003.42 Required Instruction. The curriculum must also align with the Florida Standards for Health Education and shall be consistent with the goals and objectives in the District's adopted course of study and with the course descriptions established by State Board rule.
Proposals must include all the materials that will be used with the curriculum (information, charts, presentations, links, etc.) and must be received by the Office of Secondary Programs at the School Board offices located at the School Board of Highlands County, 426 School Street, Sebring, FL 33870 by May 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
