Thank you Highlands County voters!
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee would like to thank the voters of Highlands County for supporting the Half-Cent Sales Tax initiative. All funds generated from this tax are allocated to benefit children by maintaining student safety and enhancing academic achievement. Thanks to our community there will be improvements to our local school system for years to come.
Who are we?
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee is comprised of 15 community members, who will serve 2-year terms. The group is charged with the task of reviewing the revenues generated from the Half-Cent Sales Tax and to report how those funds are used. The committee will meet on a quarterly basis. Citizens of Highlands County can come to this webpage to see the positive impact this tax has had across our county.
