Public Notice: Committee Meetings to Review Science Instructional Materials

The School Board of Highlands County is committed to selecting high-quality instructional materials that support student success in science education. As part of our effort to ensure that our curriculum meets the needs of all learners, we have convened a committee of educators, instructional coaches, and parents to review and evaluate science instructional materials. These meetings are part of our ongoing process to select resources that align with state standards and foster academic excellence.

Purpose of Instructional Materials Review

The purpose of these meetings is to review and assess science instructional materials to ensure they are comprehensive, evidence-based, and up-to-date with current scientific knowledge. By evaluating a variety of resources, the committee will work to identify materials that provide our students with an engaging, rigorous, and high-quality science education.
