The Florida Commissioner of Education requires that we make training available for parents and guardians of students that includes the consequences for making a threat or false report via FortifyFL involving school or school personnel's property, school transportation, or a school-sponsored activity. The course has been made available to all parents and guardians.

There has been an increase in students making threats. Regardless of whether it is verbal or non-verbal, on social media, via text, or in person, making threats to schools or individuals by any means, comes with severe consequences. Because of the increase, this Threats and Weapons Information course is an addition to the 2024-25 Code of Student Conduct which is available to you. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of all our students and staff. Anything that jeopardizes the safety of our students or causes a disruption to the school environment will not be tolerated.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we want to make sure you understand the consequences of making threats or possessing weapons. In addition, spreading rumors or reposting any information through social media that causes a disruption to the school environment will not be tolerated. If you see or hear anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or concerned, tell a trusted adult at school right away. If it is after school or on the weekend, contact FortifyFL.
