Threats and Weapons Information Course - 2024-25

The Florida Commissioner of Education requires that we make training available for parents and guardians of students that includes the consequences for making a threat or false report via FortifyFL involving school or school personnel's property, school transportation, or a school-sponsored activity. The course has been made available to all parents and guardians.

The possession, sale, or control of any instrument or object, other than a firearm or weapon as defined under a Level 4, Weapons Possession, which could be used to inflict harm on another person or to intimidate any person. This offense includes, but is not limited to, BB guns or pellet guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns and replicas of any gun or weapon, water/gel bead gun, chains, pipes, common household tools, razor blades, box cutter/utility knife, knives with blades 2.5 inches or less, ice picks, other pointed instruments, nunchucks, throwing stars,Taser, items used for self-defense (e.g., kubaton), ammunition, firearm clips, firearm cartridges. This offense also includes igniting fireworks/firecrackers.

Having or selling things that could hurt or scare someone. This includes things like BB guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, something that looks like a gun, water/gel bead guns, chains, pipes, tools, razor blades, box cutters, knives or sharp things, nunchucks, throwing stars, items for self-defense, bullets, bullet holders, or lighting fireworks.
