Between Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, our schools were closed for 5 instructional days, meaning students missed roughly 30 instructional hours.
We know that instructional hours are critical to student success, and we must also meet state mandates for instructional time.
As a result, there are two changes to our 2024-2025 school calendar:
January 6th is now a full school day. All employees will return to work, and students will return to school on Monday, January 6th after the two-week holiday break.
February 13th has been changed from an early release to a full day.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to make up for the lost instructional time to support our students.
