Today we observe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. To honor his legacy, and his dream for all children, we strive each day in Highlands County schools to instill critical thinking and character in our students, nurturing the future generations that Dr. King envisioned.
In 1964, Dr. King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize At only thirty-five, Dr. King was the youngest recipient to ever be selected for this prestigious honor.
