Patriot Week is here.
From September 11-17, our school district will join the state of Florida in observing Patriot Week, as proclaimed by Governor Ron DeSantis. This is an important time to reflect on the principles of liberty and freedom that define our nation.
Patriot Week also includes 9/11 Heroes Day on September 11. We will pause to honor the nearly 3,000 civilians and first responders who lost their lives in the tragic attacks on that day. We encourage everyone to join in a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, to show our respect and remembrance.
Additionally, you'll see flags of the United States and the State of Florida flown at half-staff at our buildings, and throughout the State of Florida from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
