Highlands County Schools proudly celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week!
Our teachers do more than educate; they inspire, support, and shape the future of our students every single day. Their dedication and commitment make our schools a truly special place to learn and grow.
Thank you to all of our incredible teachers for the difference you make in the lives of our students and our community.
Superintendent, Dr. Longshore, shared in her Monday Morning Message to staff:
As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank each of you for the meaningful work you do every day for our students and our district.
While this week traditionally highlights our teachers, it is also an opportunity to acknowledge the collective effort that makes our schools strong. From our classroom teachers to our paraprofessionals, support staff, bus drivers, custodians, food service teams, and district personnel, each of you plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for our students.
Our teachers inspire, challenge, and guide students toward success, often going above and beyond to meet their needs. At the same time, the dedication and commitment of all staff ensure that our schools operate smoothly and that students are supported in every aspect of their day.
Please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. The impact you make reaches far beyond the classroom and leaves a lasting impression on the lives of our students and our community.
Thank you for your continued dedication and care. I am proud to serve alongside such an exceptional team.
