Lake Placid High School is proud to celebrate Maria Swaford for being named the 2026 Champion for Children Youth Award Winner! Maria was selected from an outstanding group of seven finalists, making this recognition an incredible honor.
Maria is a senior at Lake Placid High School and currently serves as the President of the LPHS FFA Chapter, where she has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving others. In addition to her work with FFA, Maria also mentors younger students through her experience in competitive cheer and serves as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, helping guide and support younger members of our community.
Through her leadership, service, and willingness to uplift others, Maria truly represents the spirit of Dragon Pride. 🐉💚 Her hard work and the example she sets continue to make a positive impact on students at LPHS and throughout the community.
