Lake Placid Middle School will host its Annual Title I Meeting on the following dates: Monday 10/21/24 at 6:00 PM or on Wednesday 10/23/24 at 9:00 AM. The meetings will be held in the LPM Media Center. Everyone is invited to attend the Annual Meeting. We hope to see our parents at one of the meetings.


Basketball Tryoputs begin today, Monday 10/21/24.
Girls tryouts are from 3:30 to 5:00 Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.
Boys tryouts are 4:30 to 6:00 Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.
All physical paperwork must be uploaded to athletic clearance prior to being permitted to tryout for the basketbball program.
Teams will be selected after the Wednesday tryout.

Thursday, October 17th is an early release day at 1pm and there is no school on Friday, October 18th.

If you are interested in playing basketball for LPM, we will have open gym this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday right after school for boys & girls. The game tonight in Avon Park has been canceled.
Players we will meet this afternoon to collect jerseys and provide time for you to get your items from the field house. Parents, please plan on picking up your softball players from LPH around 4:00 PM today.

Congratulations to our students who were rewarded for perfect attendance in September!
Through our Chick-fil-A Attendance Challenge, students who are present every day and on time to every class were entered into a weekly drawing. One student per grade level is drawn each week, and rewarded at the end of the month with a Chick-fil-A meal!
We're so proud of your commitment to being present and giving your best every day. Keep up the great work, and let's aim for another strong month of attendance!



All LPM athletic contests for this week (10/7-10/11) have been canceled.
Football will NOT practice today, Monday 10/7. Football will plan to practice on Friday 10/11 if the conditions permit school to be in session.

8th Grade students were presented with the information for Take Stock in Children applications.

Collection dates: 10/1 - 10/4
List of items needed are: non-perishable foods, tarps, toiletries, towels, blankets, sunscreen, bug spray, extension cords, worker gloves, diapers, formula, cleaning supplies and paper goods.
No Clothes at this time.
Items can be dropped off at LPM Attn: Michelle Richmond
